Leave it to the professionals.
Our treatments are specially formulated and tailored to meet the needs of your lawn.  Our staff is fully trained to detect lawn problems and know how much product to apply as well as how often to apply them.  Rest assured, our products keep your lawn in tip-top shape and comply with all local, state and federal regulations.

Weed Control.
We divide weeds into two categories:  grassy weeds (like crabgrass) and bradleaf weeds (like dandelion and clover).  We use pre-emergents to prevent crabgrass and post-emergents to control dandelions and clover.

Fertilization.
We will feed the lawn at appropriate times to ensure root development, proper growth and good color.

Centipede Program Minimize

CENTIPEDE GRASS PROGRAM

ROUND 1

--  This application contains pre and post emergent weed control.  The pre-emergence weed control is used to control weeds before the weed seeds germinate.  This will form a barrier around your lawn once it is watered in.  The pre emergent will prevent crabgrass as well as some other broadleaf and grassy weeds from emerging.  The post-emergent is a broadleaf weed control used for weeds such as clover, chickweed, dandelions and henbit that have already germinated.

ROUND 2

--  This application contains fertilizer, iron, sulfur and broadleaf weed control.  The fertilizer will stimulate the growth and encourage the green-up of your lawn.  The iron and sulfur will improve the color and overall health of your lawn.  Any iron deficiencies or chlorosis problems present should be cleared up.  The broadleaf weed control is for weeds such as dandelions, chickweed, cudweed, plantain and oxalis that have already germinated.

ROUND 3

--  This application contains fertilizer, iron, sulfur and insecticide.  The fertilizer will stimulate growth and encourage the green-up of your lawn.  The iron and sulfur will improve the color and overall health of your lawn.  Any iron deficiencies or chlorosis problems present should be cleared up.  The insecticide is applied to help control spittlebugs which cause us the most problems at this time of the year.

ROUND 4

--  This application contains fertilizer, iron, sulfur and insecticide.  The fertilizer will promote growth and also improve the color.  The iron and sulfur will be applied at a heavy rate to maintain and improve the color and overall health of the turfgrass.  The insecticide is applied to help control spittlebugs which can cause quite a bit of damage if they are not treated.

ROUND 5

--  This application contains fertilizer, iron, sulfur and broadleaf weed control.  The fertilizer contains nitrogen and potassium.  The nitrogen will promote a small amount of growth and help the lawn maintain its color for the rest of the growing season.  The potassium will promote root growth and help prepare the lawn for the winter months.  The iron and sulfur will be applied to improve the color and overall health of your lawn. The broadleaf weed control is for weeds such as spurge, oxalis, dandelions and gripe weed that may have germinated late in the summer.

ROUND 6

--  This application contains winter fertilizer, pre-emergent and post emergent weed control.  The winter fertilizer is potassium that will stimulate root growth and increase the winter hardiness of your turf.  The pre-emergent weed control will prevent weeds such as henbit, poa annua and Florida betony from germinating.  The post emergent should control broadleaf weeds such as chickweed, dandelions and cudweed.

This program is specifically formulated and tailored to meet the needs of Centipede turfgrass.  The applications begin late February and end mid December.  They are normally 6 to 8 weeks apart.  This normal program will take care of the common problems associated with Centipede turf.  We ask for you not to apply any additional fertilizer or herbicides to the lawn.  The longer a lawn is on a good turf management program, the healthier the lawn will be with a much stronger weed barrier.  This can take a few years.

There are problems than can occur that are not common in all Centipede lawns.  Grassy weeds such as bahiagrass and nutsedge, although will not damage your lawn, can be very unsightly.  Other problems like fungus and mole crickets can cause significant damage if they go untreated.  We do offer special programs that can help control these different problems.  If any of these problems arise in your lawn, please call our office for pricing options.
